Important information regarding HMRC CIS Submissions

What’s changing?

HMRC look to continually improve their processes to protect the safety and security of information they obtain. As part of this, in February 2018, HMRC are upgrading the technology used by thousands of contractors to submit their monthly CIS returns and verify new subcontractors.

Eque2 have therefore updated the latest version of Construct to ensure it is compatible with this change, which customers will need to upgrade to before February 2018.

What do you need to do?

To ensure there is no disruption to your ability to file returns or verify subcontractors using Construct from February 2018, you need to upgrade to the latest version of Construct.

How can you check which version of Construct you are running?

To check which version of Construct you are running you simply need to go to the Help menu in Construct and select ‘About Eque2 Construction’. A screen will appear detailing your version number.

What happens next?

For customers running Construct version 16 or below, we have a collection of cost effective options available for you to upgrade to the latest version of Construct.

You will need to contact your account manager to discuss your options and arrange a time for the upgrade to take place. Part of the upgrade may involve an Eque2 consultant being on-site so please get in touch with your account manager as soon as possible to ensure you allow enough time to arrange the upgrade prior to the CIS submission changes taking effect.
